Rudeshock Katrina Kaif gives a major blow to Priyanka
Gossip mills are abuzz with rumours about a change in casting for 'Don 3'. We hear Katrina Kaif is in consideration to succeed Priyanka Chopra, who featured in the first two parts of the action flick as Shah Rukh Khan's leading lady. If the makers manage to strike a deal with Kat, it will be her second outing with SRK after 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' (2012).

An industry insider says, "The makers want a new face for the Don franchise and are in talks with Katrina. They feel she is one of the few actresses who can comfortably do high-octane action scenes."Both Katrina and Ritesh Sidhwani, producer of the 'Don' franchise, did not respond to our text messages. On Tuesday evening, the latter had tweeted: "Much speculation on #Don3 & it's Casting. No thoughts of changing it's casting..Working towards developing the script. Will keep u posted. Luv (sic)."

A source close to the production team, nevertheless, confirms the development, saying, "Yes, talks are on with Katrina for 'Don 3', but the makers want to keep it under wraps. Priyanka has her hands full at the moment and is unable to commit herself to the project. It has been four years since the release of 'Don 2' and things for the third part have to be finalised sooner rather than later. The script will be developed to introduce the new (Katrina's) character."

Shocking News 'Phantom' banned in Pakistan

shaif ali khan and Katrina Kaif
A Pakistani court today banned the release of Bollywood movie "Phantom" in the country on a plea filed by JuD chief and Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed against it alleging that the film, set on post-26/11 attacks, contains "filthy propaganda" against him and his outfit.

Lahore High Court judge Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan issued the order to ban the release of the Saif Ali Khan-starrer film in the theaters in Pakistan after hearing the arguments of Saeed's counsel and the government law officer.

Before issuing a short-order on the film, which was scheduled to release on August 28, the judge observed that Indian and other movies are easily available after their release and asked the government what it could do to stop it from being available in the market if a movie is banned.

"If a movie is banned in cinemas what the government could do to stop it from being available in the market in CDs", the judge asked.

In the petition filed in the High Court on August 8, Saeed's advocate A K Dogar alleged that "there is a direct threat to the life of the petitioner (Saeed) and his associates emanating from the content of the trailer of the film."

"It is obvious that dialogues coming out of the lips of the different Indian actors and actresses will poison the minds of Pakistani public and will portray Hafiz Saeed as terrorist even though JuD has not been declared as a proscribed organisation," Dogar said.

Arguing in the court, the government law officer said that since no one had sought No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the government for the release of the movie in Pakistan the petition was "useless" and should be dismissed.

"The petitioner is unnecessarily trying to involve the government," he said.
Based on crime author Hussain Zaidi's novel "Mumbai Avengers", 'Phantom' is set in the aftermath of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and deals with global terrorism.

The Pakistan censor board had yet not cleared the film for screening in the country.

Since the government allowed exhibition of Indian films in Pakistan, the Censor Board has been careful about not allowing screening of Indian films which deal with the subject of Pakistan, terrorism and ISI.

In the past, Saif Ali Khan's 'Agent Vinod' and Salman Khan's 'Ek Tha Tiger' were also banned from being screened in cinema halls in the country although they are freely available on CDs and DVDs in Pakistan.

Kritika Kamra does not like saas-bahu dramas anymore

Kritika tv Actress

She has essayed a doctor, been a narrator for a cyber crime show, and is currently seen as a journalist in a TV show. Kritika Kamra says she prefers content-driven projects over "saas-bahu dramas".

"When I'm associated with a show, I want to be a part of something that I would enjoy watching. I can't be a part of something that drags. I don't enjoy the saas-bahu dramas... I don't watch it (and) I'm not that audience," Kritika told IANS on the phone from Mumbai.

She said there is an audience like her that is constantly looking for differentiated content on Indian television.

"And there is such less to choose from," added the actress, who has received a Cyber Celebrity Award for hosting the show "MTV Webbed".

She says she enjoys playing a variety of roles as it helps her to "learn something and get to be a part of a new world, reinvent and be different".
The 26-year-old stressed that her motive is to be in shows which are high on "content", rather than being high on TRPs (Television Rating Points).

"My whole idea is that I want to be a part of the shows that are remembered for the quality of content...and not remembered for the TRPs."

Her ongoing show "Reporters" is soon going to get wrapped up. "It was supposed to be a finite series," she said.

Kritika is "glad" that the show is a finite series because "it comes to a logical conclusion and it doesn't go on for years and leaps happen and (the story gets) dragged."

In "Reporters", Kritika shares screen space with Rajeev Khandelwal.

Useful Backlink Analysis Tools That Increse Your Website Ranking

Backlink Analysis Tools That Increse Your Website Ranking
As Google continually changes its algorithms in a bid to improve the search experience for its users, search rankings of websites often go up and down. Now Google claims that there are more than 200 factors that work together to determine how well your website will perform, but one of the biggest factors is your backlink profile, which helps determine your PR, which in turn determines your website’s crawl and index rate. So how can you improve your rank and crawl/index rate? By analysing your backlink profile of course! Here’s a list of the top 5 backlink analysis tools you can use to analyze your backlink profile, and take the necessary steps in order to improve and optimize it.

1. Google Fusion Tables

This isn’t your conventional backlink analysis tool. Although still in its experimental stages, this is a great tool to visualize data, and see the relationship between different sites or sources of data. With Google Fusion Tables, you can;
  • Upload small or large data sets from spreadsheets or CSV files.
  • Visualize your data on maps, timelines and charts.
  • Pick who can access your data; hide parts of your data if needed.
  • Merge data from multiple tables.
  • Discuss your data with others. Track changes and discussions.

2. Open Site Explorer

Moz’s Open Site Explorer is another great tool that is now being used increasingly by bloggers and webmasters to analyze backlink data. The Open Site Explorer shows you the Page Authority and Domain Authority for the URL you wish to analyze. In addition, you can see all the backlinks to a page of yours, along with the Domain and Page Authority of the individual linking pages as well, so that you can check out what backlinks have a low Authority, and might need weeding out.

3. Yandex Webmaster Tools

The Russian search engine is often ignored by users and webmasters alike. But it is nevertheless a pretty good and accurate tool collection with many useful features in its dashboard, including a pretty accurate backlink reporting. Another plus point is that, it has a pretty good API, which makes it easier to export data to other services.

4. SEOkicks

SEOkicks is a German tool that claims to have it’s own index of around 42 billion URLs. I really like how easy it is to use and the ability to instantly export into a CSV. The data set includes the domain’s IP address along with Moz’s Domain Authority metric. The only down side to this tool is, it’s written completely in German. So you might have to use an online translator to get the full experience.

5. Gephi

Like Google’s Fusion Tables, Gephi is a great way to build dramatic visualizations of a backlink profile. This tool is designed to chart graphs, so it is the ideal solution for showcasing networks and link relationships. One cool aspect of the visualizations is they can show both link connections and other metrics at the same time.
So, do you have any more good backlink analysis tools in mind? please feel free to share them with us in the comments section below! Good day :)

Strategies To Get The Most From Article Marketing

Strategies To Get The Most From Article Marketing
Article marketing is one of the many ways you can increase traffic and backlinks to your blog. It can be an excellent way to get a website started in Search engines. Over the years, I’ve been able to accomplish awesome look for website optimization Results with article marketing for a coordinator of service companies and info-product sites. And today, I will share some of my experiences with you so you can better understand why you should use article marketing. Here are 5 tips on how to get the most out of your article marketing efforts:

1. Headlines

As you might know, headlines are essential in almost any published interaction, whether it is a sales page or articles. When running a blog, a headline is either extremely powerful, or search term wealthy, or both. But if you have to choose between the two, go with what exactly is powerful to individuals first. A short article that gets read and attached to is more useful than a post with a keyword-packed name that gets ignored.
When posting articles to internet directories, headlines are still essential, but you are now composing for a little different audience. While you were composing for people before, now you are composing for marketers first. And the existing mind-set among the individuals most likely to post your articles is that key terms issue most. So you concentrate on them just like you would on any other article. Write the most compelling name you can, but it absolutely must consist of eye-catching key terms.

Don’t feel like you need to aim for the most popular search term blends related to the topic; there can be basically too much competitors. Think Lengthy Tail instead. Do market research and discover excellent market blends. This is what marketers are looking for, and keeping marketers satisfied will create your article marketing efforts more successful.

2. Resource Box

An excellent article with a bad resource box is a waste of your energy and ability. Various articles submission sites have varying requirements for how much information can be placed in your resource box, or “byline.” There are also particular guidelines regarding how many backlinks can be present, and how they can be partitioned.
Carefully evaluate the guidelines, and utilize every web link opportunity that is permitted. If three hyperlinks are allowed, then add three hyperlinks to your resource box. There should be at least one backlink to your website using anchor-text for relevant key terms and words. For example, I might backlink to my website with the anchor-text web copy writing. It’s sensible to differ the anchor-text you use a little bit every once in a while, and you may even web link sometimes with “click here” or other more natural words. Simply duplicating your preferred key terms and words in your anchor-text again and again will likely work against you in Google’s eyes.
Leave at least one web link in the full http://www.yoursite.com structure. Why?
Inexperienced blog owners or marketers may unintentionally fall short to effectively structure your anchor-text web link, making you link-less. Plus, e-mail writers who post in plain published text cannot assistance anchor-text hyperlinks, so you want to create sure you always preserve a fool-proof web link. No web link, no value.
Also, when styling the http://www.yoursite.com web link, never put a period at the end of a URL. In some circumstances that can cause the web link to break. I basically try to never put the URL at the end of a phrase.

3. Write 2 small articles better than 1 long post

Conventional running blog wideness says that shorter content is better, and with “link and opinion” type content, that is true. But there happens to be increasing activity among resource-oriented weblogs toward longer, more helpful content.
With articles, it’s essential that they remain short. There are two excellent reasons for this.
One, never ignore the writers resource box. Your objective is for people to see who you are and visit your website. While you need to provide some powerful value in your article, it is a means to an end. Otherwise, your articles is offering more value to the index (and their AdSense ads) than to yourself.
Two, the key to effective article marketing is amount. If you normally create long articles, go forward and create them that way. Then divide the produced articles into two or more articles of 250 to 500 terms.
The greater part of writers who post articles to the internet directories deliver in less than 10, then stop because the outcomes are not frustrating. You basically cannot get outcomes with that few articles. I’ve been able to get achievement in the look for engines with as little as 20 articles, but the more you post, the better your results. Volume is the simple key behind effective article marketing, but most individuals basically do not create it over the problem.
Here’s a sign that will help you come up with thoughts. Browse around an articles directory in the groups that are appropriate to your topic. See what others are writing about. Now, put your own whirl on some of those articles. You can always find a new position. Remember, there can be nothing truly new under the sun, but there can be a thousand ways to tell a tale.

4. No duplicate Content

If you are running a blog, it’s very appealing to basically post your content to the directories. I keep away from this. I think it’s controversial that Google will concentrate on you for having articles on your website that is also released elsewhere, but there is definitely some risk.
From a realistic viewpoint, basically having what you weblog republished can harm you with individuals who simply click through from your writers resource box. When I study an excellent directory articles, and then simply click though to the weblog only to see the identical content, I keep. Reasonable or not, I’m not sensation the value of investing time there.
Anecdotally, I’ve basically had the best outcomes when there is no replication of content. Often I will enhance a free resource, such as a guide or other articles that is provided by e-mail. The articles targeted visitors the resource and help it rank in Google, and I get an opportunity to start a persistent connection with that guest. The distributed article was the first exclusive step in developing that relationship.

5. Copywriting Issues

Your articles cannot basically be a marketing or message for whatever you are selling. Actually, even your writer’s resource box should not be throwing the purchase. An article is an entrance that allows you to be able to begin a conversation with a prospective prospect.
Publishing lots of articles that backlink to your concentrate on website or weblog will help you in Google. However, to really get the most out of article marketing, you need to turn articles visitors into immediate visitors.
To do that, you need a powerful title, and a smash hit starting paragraph. From there, your content should cause people step-by-step, sentence-by-sentence, to your source box, where the proactive approach is such that the audience presses through onto your pitch. Studying primary and innovative copywriting methods will increase your overall promotion efficiency by leaps and range.

According to the trend that has been set by the Google Search Engine, it is evident that Google loves to link with niche sites. Having a particular niche for your blog increases the credibility of the content available on it. Google show results of the user search, from the sites that seem to be more authorized in terms of its niche.
Many bloggers think that choosing many niches to write on their blog might attract more traffic but in reality, the traffic suffers the most here. This is because, there is no targeted traffic. Writing about fashion, money making, clothing, gadgets on a single blog is truly not a good idea.
Choose a particular niche for your blog and stick to it. post articles that are relevant enough to drag Google Search Engine’s attention, and you will see your rankings improving in no time.

2) Work on Headings

First being the niche, the second important thing that decides how much the search engine is going to love you is the heading Tags that you choose for your articles. According to the reports revealed by Google, it’s the Heading Tag that let Google understand about what is the topic of the post and thus, it then plans how and where to link you up. Heading 1 and 2 should be chosen for your titles that help it exposing your content to the targeted audience.

3) Keywords on your page

Knowing the significance of keywords, we actually dominate the search engines with our articles. Its always recommended to select the keywords for a topic before starting to write on it. using keywords in your article makes it more Search engine friendly. What happens actually is that when a potential reader types a keyword to search about, Google first matches it with the blog having a related niche, once done with that, the robots match that keyword with the keywords that are used in articles and then show the results.
Try to write articles using keywords which make sense!

4) Ensure Quality

Now that’s what is really important to understand. As a blogger, your aim is not only to drag a reader to your blog by applying SEO techniques, No! In fact, you want to increase your readership by providing the best quality content to your readers who are directed from search engines to your blog. if your content would be worth following, your readers will start trusting your blog and would directly visit your blog without taking the ladder of Google Search engine which might not always a lucky one for you.
Contrary to this, sacrificing on the quality of content might still bring some potential reader to your blog if you have worked on SEO, but a bad content would encourage the readers to un follow you, rapidly increasing your bounce rate, which is again what a blogger is scared of.
Never compromise on quality of your content as that is something the readers are attracted the most!

5) Relevant Meta word tagging

Have you ever thought why for the heaven sake you add meta-tags while customizing your post before publishing it? if you did, then you might be aware of its importance. Meta-tags help search engines know what your article is about and then links it with appropriate search results.
Make it a habit to add relevant meta-tags to make your article’s objective clear in front of Google Search Engine.

6) Add Do-Follow Links

When you plan to make money online, you cannot simply stay away from other hit sites. It is always a good practice to add Do-Follow Links in your posts from authorized sites. This affects your Google page ranking positively as it brings huge traffic indirectly to your blog, increases your credibility and Google start trusting you for your content!

7) Your Readers’ comments

Its always a pleasure when you are appreciated for the hard work you put in to make your post a success; and the medals given to your article for your efforts are your readers’ comments. The fact that many people often neglect is that the comments on your posts are equally important as your content, after all, they stays on your page along with the content, working as a summary for the new readers whether to read the post or not. At the same time, Google is smart enough to notice the feedbacks from your readers and increase your Google Page Ranking too.

8. A Good Grammar

When you decide of making money with your blog, you need to take care of small things which can affect your productivity significantly. To ensure that your posts appear on Google’s first page, you need to re check your content.

9. Loading Speed of Your Blog

Search engines prefer sites that have a high loading speed because slow sites take more time in getting indexed as well as getting visitors too. To boost your blog’s loading speed, avoid using heavy plug-ins and widgets and use compressed images.

10. Social Media Friendly

With the Online world going extremely viral with social media craze, it’s the social networking websites that holds good reputation when it comes to Google Page ranking, start promoting your blog on Social media as much as you can and this will indirectly please Google, enough to improve your page rank as well.

Top DoFollow Blog Directory To Increase Your Page Rank

DoFollow Blog Directory
Increasing Googlle PageRank is something many bloggers search for in their quest to increase their website traffic and authority. And the terms ‘backlink‘ and ‘dofollow’ are used frequently in this regard. Backlinks indeed are one of the major contributors towards a website’s ranking, and quality backlinks form the basis of Google PR and Alexa rankings. The most common method of increasing backlinks is by commenting on dofollow blogs. When you post a comment with your website’s link, you get a dofollow link from there, or a backlink. In this post, we will talk about the importance of dofollow links and how you can find dofollow blogs.

Google Page Rank is a measure of a website’s quality on a scale of 10, with 10 being the highest. Google ranks itself at 9, so it’s a 0-9 scale really. And backlinks, and the quality of those backlinks is one of the primary factor that effects this ranking.

About dofollow and nofollow

The ‘nofollow’ attribute was collectively introduced by Google, Yahoo!, and Microsoft in 2005 in an attempt to combat spam and control outbound link quality. It has since become an industry standard. The nofollow attribute simply tells search crawlers not to go to that link. Hence, for a crawler, a nofollow link is just a piece of text, and not a link.
There is no ‘dofollow’ tag as such. A dofollow usually means the absence of a nofollow attribute. A dofollow link is a real backlink, and will contribute towards a website’s ranking.

Blog directories

A blog directory is a listing of blogs organized into categories. They have backlinks to other blogs. Blog directories, especially dofollow blog directories can be of much importance for a blog. One way to benefit from them is to submit your blog to get a free backlink. Another is to visit the blogs listed there. We’ll explain how.

What is DoFollow Blog Directory?

The DoFollow Blog Directory is not any ordinary blog directory. It is the largest directory that lists dofollow blogs. Dofollow blogs are those that give you a dofollow backlink when you comment on them. Commenting is a great way to boost your website. Besides building links, you can also increase interaction with other bloggers. Besides, you can get some of the audience from other blogs as well.

Well, when you share your article on your Facebook wall, you are actually promoting your article – and – blog to your friend list, letting them know about your piece of work. When people click on your shared link, they are diverted to your blog, hence increasing your page rankings and blog traffic.

If you are a professional blogger and already have a fan page that has a considerable targeted audience, you must know what I am talking about. To make it simple for other friends, understand the fact that your friend list has only 2% of the readers that might find any particular topic interesting and try finding it. But 98% of your friends will simply ignore it. Then how to increase the likes?
Here is my secret of increasing Facebook likes for my Articles that eventually increases the page rankings.

1)   Keyword strategy

You know what you are writing about obviously. After publishing your article, re- read it. identify the keywords of your articles and search for the groups available on facebook of that particular niche that you have targeted in your article. For example, I recently wrote about Windows 8 customization, here windows 8 is what I find out. Simply go to your facebook page and search for some relevant keyword group, where people might find your write up interesting.

2) Post your link

Select a relevant group and post your article link in there. Always try to interact with the group you have just entered for you own benefit. Try leaving a small message along with your link so that when people go through the group, they find something appealing in your link.

3) Select Wisely!

Always keep in mind that you need followers, not groups. Before selecting a group of your required niche, highlight its followers. A group with 100 members will give you nothing. In fact, visiting that group, you will realize that it is dead itself. Give priority to the large number of followers and post you link there.

4) Its FAST – Submit your Links!

Searching and publishing on a group takes less than two minutes. So always try to leave your link on all possible huge groups that are relevant to your post. Submit your links to all such groups and try to manage being in its recent activity all the time.

5) Stay Awake – learn

Sometimes your post fails to achieve even a single like in two days, although you played it safe while choosing the group that had a huge number of followers. In that case, keep that group in your hate list and never post your links there until and unless you are left with no other option.

6) All Success!

Make it your habit, the next thing after publishing your article is to promote your writing too. Unlike other promotional techniques, it is fastest. This is how I am able to earn likes within 10 minutes for my articles every day.
Its true that Opportunities are unlimited, you only need to act smart to earn smart!
Try this trick and share your views.

Important information about Apple news publisher:

Here is one important announcement from Apple which I saw after submitting my first blog:

Difference Between Pageview And Visit of a Blogger or Website

Difference Between Visit And Pageview of a Blogger or Website
Webmasters are often confused while analyzing their web analytics dashboards. Many fail to understand the basic difference between “visits” and “pageviews”.Read on to learn how visits differ from pageviews.
All web analytics software measures different parameters differently (including visits and pageviews). The stats may or may not be similar.

For example: The pageviews shown in your Blogger dashboard might differ from what is shown in the Google analytics.
You’ll have to rely on one web analytics software and improve your scores or statistics. Otherwise, you might get confused with different softwares and tools showing different results.

What is visit?

Visit is the number of visitors visiting your website. Visits are the number of individual sessions of your website visitors.
A single user may be responsible for multiple visits. If a user has your site open for sometime in their browser, and return after a while, it might be considered as a start of a new session. The time maybe variable for different analytics softwares.

What is page view?

Page views represent the number of times web pages are accessed by your site visitors. If a single visitor refreshes a web page or accesses many pages of your site, each instance counts as an another page view.
Whenever a page is loaded by any visitor of your site, it will be counted as an additional page view.

What is the difference between visit and pageview?

When a person accesses your site it is called as Visit. On the other hand, Page View is the number of pages that the person navigates during his visit.
One visitor can generate several Page Visits within a single Visit.
Conclusion
Visits and page views are both different. More the page views and the amount of time spent on your page by your site visitors determines if your audience is interested in what you’re serving.

Killer Way To Reduce Bounce Rate of Your Blogger Blog

Reduce Bounce Rate of Your Blogger Blog or Website
Bounce rate is the percentage of your site visitors who leave your site after viewing only one page. Having an extremely high bounce rate means your site visitors hardly navigate more than one page of your site.Following are the six smart strategies that you should use to keep your visitors on your pages longer. These strategies will help you to decrease bounce rate of your website.

1. Use larger fonts.

According to Smashing magazine, using fonts smaller than 16 pixels can decrease your website’s readability. Your site’s font size should be larger than or equal to 16 pixels.
Also, your site should be readable across multiple devices – desktop or mobile.
The line length, height and font size should be balanced.

2. Open external links in a new window or tab.

Having external links that open in the same window or tab will take your readers away from your site. To keep them longer on your site make external links open in a new window.
However, you can have internal links open in the same window or tab as it would point to an another page on your own site. Thus, reducing the bounce rate.
Setting all the externals links within your content to open in a new window will keep your readers retained on your site.

3. Interlink your posts.

Internal links are the links which points to a web page of your own site and not to an external website.
Having two or three internal links within your posts which keep your readers or visitors engaged with your content. This will ensure that they read or open more than one page and thus reduces the bounce rate of your blog.
A quick SEO tip: Try to interlink higher in your posts.

The links placed within the first two paragraphs of your post are likely pass more link juice compared to the ones which are placed towards the bottom of the post.

4. Include speed bumps.

Making your posts more scannable increases the chances of your readers to stay longer at your site and explore it further.
You might be wondering, what are speed bumps? Speed bumps are nothing but the sub-headings, bold, italics, etc. that catch your reader’s eye.
You can make important points as your sub-headings. Including the sub headings will force your readers to slow down, stop and read it.

5. Have a good site design.

A simple website design is much better than the one which is overwhelming and confusing. Right color combinations and easy navigation contribute to a great site design.
Do the following to convince your visitors to stay longer through the power of your site’s design alone:
1. Use a responsive layout.
2. Do not put up too many Ads above the fold.
3. Avoid too much text and poor formatting.
4. Use sub-headings and larger fonts.

6. Reduce your website loading time.

“The percentage of users users who hit a page and then quit that page (i.e. bounce) before the page even loads” is actually an incorrect definition of bounce rate.
According to Rigor, If the page does not load, or if the user bounces from a slow page load, the analytics platform won’t register the user at all.
Your website’s analytics measurements begin only after the website is loaded. People who leave your website even before the pages load will not register as bounces.
But to play safe, always work to reduce your website loading time because people leaving your site even before it gets loaded will not be considered as a bounce but will surely decrease the number of readers of your site.
Over to you!

Top Significant Differences Between A Website And A Blog

Differences Between A Website And A Blog
Many online as well as offline businesses these days are preferring to make a blog instead of a website. What exactly distinguishes a blog from a website? And which one is more effective? Read on to find out 15 significant differences between a website and a web log (blog).

A website and a blog can be distinguished from each other on the basis of the following.

1. Frequency Of Updates.

A blog is updated and new posts are published regularly. Mostly bloggers aim to write on trending topics. The posts or articles on a blog are most of the times informative.
Whereas a website is rarely updated. And it may contain information about services or products. A website might have a static landing page.

2. Dynamic And Static Content.

Blogs have dynamic content. Posts are displayed on the home page in the reverse chronological order. Posts written on a blog may contain date and time stamps. Design and functionality updates are frequent to keep the blog new and fresh all the time.
Websites have static home pages which are hardly updated. Once the site is designed and developed, design and functionality updates are infrequent.

3. Search Engine Ranking.

Blogs appear higher on Google search engine results page (SERP) than websites. This is so because one of the most important ranking factors for Google is “Freshness of content“. The more frequently a web property is updated, the higher the chances of it appearing higher in the SERPs.
Although websites are rarely updated but they too have fair chances of appearing higher on Google if they contain relevant and best content.

4. Which Is More Conversational?

Of course Blogs are considered more informal and conversational. Blogs have posts which are written in a conversational tone. Also many blogs have commenting systems installed on them for the purpose of encouraging discussions and conversation.
Many business websites are adding blogs in order to avoid any kind of communication gap between the visitors and the business owners.
Some blogs as well as websites add forums to encourage reader’s/customer’s feedback, discussion, support or help, collaborative tasks, inquiry or complaints.

5. Communication Style.

As discussed under the above sub heading, blogs have conversational tone and they are meant for discussions. If blogs don’t contain any kind of interactions they are considered as ghost house.
The key to run a successful blog is to have quality discussions or create interactive content. Whereas a website might or might not give importance to engagement and discussions. But website owners must surely take customer satisfaction seriously.

6. Information.

Blogs contain extensive information about whichever niches they are concerned with. The information on the blogs are regularly updated or changed based on the recent happenings. Whereas websites may only contain information about a particular company, business, service or product.

7. Marketing.

Blogs can be marketed using inbound marketing as well as outbound marketing. Inbound marketing is nothing but permission-based marketing. It relies of getting customers attracted to the service. Marketers help, add value, educate or entertain audiences. As blogs are interactive in nature so they facilitate a two-way process. This is the reason why almost all the blogs ask their readers to subscribe in exchange of their content.
Whereas websites mainly adopt outbound marketing. Outbound marketing is forceful in nature. It is mainly done using paid advertisements, cold calls or e-mails which rarely add value. If site owners wish to make use of inbound marketing, they might consider adding blogs to their business sites.

8. Money spent on Marketing.

Blogs concentrate on providing value to the readers. Hence, blogs have tendency to attract massive visitors without any money spent on advertising. On the other hand, websites require adopting paid advertising to sell their services or products as they might have no value adding features.

9. Community.

A blog might have a bigger and better community than a website. As mentioned before, blog encourages interactions so blog readers might also prefer interacting among themselves than to the actual author.
In contrast to a blog, website visitors can only interact with the owners. To stimulate community feeling, websites might add forums or blogs.

10. Setup Cost.

Blogs can easily be created using free or charged services like Blogger, WordPress, Tumblr, Typepad, etc.
A website might require to be coded by a professional coder who can build it as per requirements. Blogs have a pre-structured layout and template. Major design chances may require installing new theme or tweaking all the codes.

11. Expertise.

You don’t need to be an expert to maintain and backup your blog; thanks to the content management systems.
On the other hand, websites might or might not be made using content management system. So the level of expertise required to maintain a website may differ based on the basic building blocks used to create the site.

12. Blogs are websites.

All the blogs are websites but all websites are not blogs. Websites can add blogs to get readers and credibility.

13. Relationship Building.

Since blogs are based on the concept of permission marketing and adding value, bloggers build great relationships with their readers.
Websites fail to establish quality and dedicated relationships most of the times because of the lack of commenting system and value adding capability (other than by selling services or products).

14. You can add Widgets to a Blog.

Plugins or widgets like Recent Posts, Popular posts, Recent comments, Top commentators, Engagement widgets can be added to a blog. Different plugins or Widgets facilitate different purposes.
For example: Recent Posts widget arranges the blog posts in a reverse chronological order (latest to oldest) on the sidebar or footer of the blog.
You cannot add such widgets to a website because there exists no posts.

15. Blogs have a RSS FEED.

Since blogs are updated regularly (maybe daily, weekly or monthly) they attract readers. Readers are asked to subscribe in order to receive latest blog updates through an emailing system which is technically known as RSS subscription.
